Child Playing

Society tells us that toddlers are terrible, difficult and that we should ignore them but this doesn't feel right to you.

You want your child to actually play with their toys instead of dumping them around the house but you don't know how.

You find yourself justifying your parenting to other people, but you shouldn't have to.

You're exhausted and your toddler goes at 100mph. You wish they'd just sit and play every once in a while.

They have angry outbursts that seem to come from nowhere. It makes you feel lost and anxious and like you're failing.

Emma has supported hundreds of parents to navigate parenthood with ease and confidence.

She has a degree in primary education, over a decade of experience working with children and outstanding teacher award.

Loren, mum to A, said: "The changes in my parenting, my relationships, my confidence, trust in my ability, my mood are truly astonishing."

“I just want to say a HUGE thank you Emma. Before the course I felt so lost and unable to deal with my little one's big emotions but was so desperate to support them…and that’s exactly what this course has given me.”

course dates and details

The interactive course will run for weeks online starting 18th May 2023.

Course content:

WEEK ONE: Course orientation, access to our platforms and reflection work.

This week we get settled into the course format and you get an opportunity to reflect on parenthood. I'll help you get to know the course website and get you familiar with our community network as well.

WEEK TWO: Module one - P is for Perception and Connection

This first module is all about mindset. I'll teach you about what to expect when it comes to dealing with your toddler, so you can feel confident allowing them more freedom. You'll get to learn about what's going on in that amazing brain of theirs and understand what sorts of behaviours you can expect to see.

WEEKS THREE AND FOUR: Module two - L is for Learning from You

In module two you'll discover all there is to know about why toddlers behave in the way they do and what you can do to support them through probably the most vital phase of their development. I'll help you to develop great ways of communicating with your toddler so that they feel understood whilst also setting kind and clear boundaries.

WEEKS FIVE, SIX AND SEVEN: Module three - A is for Ace Your Space

In three thorough lessons, I'll teach you how to set up your play and practical spaces in order to support your child's craving for independence. I'll teach you easy, practical adaptations for different areas of the home and how to make your spaces more YES and less NO.

WEEK EIGHT: Module four - Y is for Yo-yoing Emotions and course completion

We'll round up the course with Module Four, which aims to help you manage tantrums with ease and positivity, gently helping your child to process their emotions with your love and support. We'll also use this opportunity to reflect on the changes you've made as a family.

how course works
live content

Starting 18th May 2023, I'll host an online meeting via Zoom each Thursday evening at 7:30pm Here, I'll deliver the content for the week and you'll be able to ask questions as we go.

online access

On Fridays I'll upload the content to Member Vault (our course platform) where you'll be able to catch up if you missed our Zoom call and rewatch as many times as you like.

You'll also find written notes here and an activity to complete before next session. I'll ping you an email to let you know that the new content is now visible.

connect with the community

You'll have the rest of the week to complete your activity and get in touch over on the Mighty Networks App. This is a great place to ask questions throughout the week and show us the progress you've been making!

How much does the course cost?

It's £165 if you choose the payment plan option (details below) or £145 if you choose to pay in one complete payment, saving you £20.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You can select the option to pay in three equal instalments of £55. The first will be taken when you sign up and then you'll have two more payments due as the course goes on.

What are the course dates?

We start on Thursday 18th May 2023 with the orientation session online over Zoom at 7:30pm. This is a relaxed session where I can get to know you better and show you how the platforms all work. Over the 8 week duration we will meet online every Thursday evening where I'll deliver the new content. On Fridays I'll upload the video recording along with the written notes for each module of the course and a very short activity for you to complete in your own time. The course completes on 7th July 2023.

I don’t have a huge amount of time. Is it flexible?
Yep totally. The content is delivered online on a Thursday evening but if that doesn't suit you, you can still complete it self directed. Each module includes supporting notes and as well as this, you have lifetime access so if you ever find yourself missing a week or you have a holiday booked, you can catch up at a time that's convenient for you.

Can my partner join me?

Absolutely! In fact, I really encourage you to take the course with your partner, if you have one. Clients of mine that have done the course alone have benefitted hugely, but those with partners have found that it's brought them together and they're parenting with much more aligned values.

My child isn’t a toddler yet. Is it still for me?
Well it won’t be long and they’ll be toddling. Getting your head around what’s to come can only be a good thing! The great thing about the course is that you have lifetime access to the content, meaning you can’t revisit as your child grows and changes and you can apply everything you have learned to any subsequent children you may go on to have. I'm happy to accept parents of children from 10 months of age. Any younger and you'll benefit more if you wait until next time.

I've got a 3 year old, is this course still relevant?

Most of the content will still be relevant to your child, however it's worth knowing that your little one will be going through big developmental changes at around age 3 and therefore some of the information I share with you about brain development and behaviours may not be as relevant to your child. For this purpose, I have an instant download workshop Your Independent Preschooler which covers all of this. You can purchase this separately HERE or if you'd still like to join the Wonder of Toddlerhood course, ping me an email and I can offer you a bundle discount for access to both the Wonder of Toddlerhood course and Your Independent Preschooler workshop.

I feel like I’ll need some additional support. Do you offer that too?
Yep! If you need some accountability or you want to chat to me regularly throughout the course I'll happily accommodate that within the course. Just ping me an email and we can get it all arranged.

What if I can't keep up with the content?

I get it - it's difficult sometimes to fit everything in. I always really encourage my clients to keep up as much as possible. The more you can keep on top of the content, the more you'll benefit from it BUT I also understand that things happen and you may find yourself falling behind. If this happens, please reach out! I want you to feel supported. Don't forget that you have lifetime access to the content too.

Do I have to do everything you suggest?

No way! I'm here to provide you with evidence-based information and practical solutions. If you like what you hear, go for it! Similarly, if my suggestions don't fit your values or lifestyle, you don't have to do that either. (Although I suspect that if you're here, you'll have fairly similar values anyway!)

Will I have to get rid of all the toys and books and replace them?

Absolutely not! When you work with me, you'll learn more about what suits your child's needs but I'll never tell you to get rid of anything if you don't want to.

What happened to Your Independent Toddler?

The old Your Independent Toddler course has now been archived. Anyone that previously did the course still has access but it is no longer on sale. Since the last round of Your Independent Toddler I have reviewed and refreshed the content and rebranded it into the Wonder of Toddlerhood. If you've previously completed Your Independent Toddler, you'll be invited to join the Wonder of Toddlerhood for absolutely FREE!

How do I sign up?!
Hit the link below and get yourself on the waiting list. Enrolment opens on 2nd May so make sure you look out for an email. The first 10 spaces filled will receive a whopper of a goodie box worth £70!
